Kingdom of Pride is a compelling solo exhibition by Ismael Tamek that explores the invisible landscapes within us, including emotions, inner tensions, and the fragile spaces of transformation we move through every day.

Rather than using painting as simple representation, Tamek approaches the canvas as a site of change. Through gestures of addition, erasure, and revelation, each work evolves in an open and fluid process. The paintings do not aim for perfect resolution; instead, they arrive at a moment of delicate balance where tension softens and the material itself seems to settle into acceptance.

The human figure appears not as a defined character or storyteller, but as a vessel for projection. Stripped of specific identity, these forms invite viewers to see themselves reflected and to bring their own emotions, experiences, and meanings into the work.

Here, painting becomes a space of metamorphosis. Traces of transition remain visible through quiet imbalances, suspended gestures, and sustained silences. In this space, Kingdom of Pride gently reminds us that when we truly find ourselves, within the tension, fragility, and process of becoming, the meaning of life begins to feel clear.
